To complete the entertainment center, I added a bridge to connect the top of the two bookcases and provide more room for books. This part of the entertainment center was fairly easy to build, but I was worried that when I put all the pieces together they would not fit or be level. I measured everything again before I made any cuts just be sure, and to my surprise, everything fit together nicely.

- 1- 2x12x12 (I didn’t need to buy any additional wood because I used pieces left over from bookcases and the TV Console)
- 2 1/2 in screws (Kreg SML-C250-50 2-1/2-Inch #8 Coarse Washer-Head Pocket Screws, 50 Count)
- Optional- Kreg Shelf Pin Jig (KREG KMA3200 Shelf Pin Drilling Jig)
- 2 @ 53 in
- 2 @ 6 in
Step 1: Attach two anchor pieces (2×8 @ 6 in) to 53 in bridge with 2 1/2 in screws. I attached them with 2 inches overlapping the bridge leaving 4 inches to connect to the bookcase.
Step 2: Sand pieces.
Step 3: Paint or stain pieces.
Step 4: Attach bridge to bookcases with 2 1/2 in screws.
Step 5: Insert adjustable shelf or attach with pocket holes.
Here is the completed entertainment center. It was a lot of work, but I absolutely love it.
